RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Chief Law Assistant: Degree in Law with relevant experience as per post requirement from a recognized university.
• Public Prosecutor: Law graduate with experience in criminal law practice as per RRB norms.
• Junior Translator (Hindi): Master’s degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject OR equivalent with recognized translation proficiency.
• Senior Publicity Inspector / Staff & Welfare Inspector / Scientific Assistant (Training) / Lab Assistant Grade III: Relevant Graduate / Post Graduate / Science qualification as specified for each post in CEN 08/2025.
• All degrees must be from recognized universities/institutions and candidates must satisfy post-wise medical standards.​
• 

Age Limit:

• Minimum: 18 Years
• Maximum: Up to 40 Years (post-wise upper age: generally 30/33/35/38/40 years depending on the post and medical category as given under CEN 08/2025).
• Age relaxation as per govt norms for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Railway staff and other eligible categories beyond the upper age limit.​

Salary Structure

• Pay Level: Level 2 to Level 7 (post-wise) under 7th CPC.
• Monthly Salary Range: Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 44,900/- plus applicable allowances.
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport/Travel Allowance (TA) and other admissible benefits as per Railway rules.

Selection Process: CBT, Skill Test & DV for RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories Recruitment

• Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
   Objective exam covering subject-related topics, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and other post-related sections.
  

• Stage 2: Skill/Typing/Stenography/Translation Test (If Applicable)
   Conducted for Ministerial/Translator categories or posts where specific skills are required as per notification.
  

• Stage 3: Document Verification (DV)
   Verification of original certificates, community/category, age, experience, and other required documents.
  

• Stage 4: Medical Examination (ME)
  Final medical fitness test as per Railway medical standards for the respective posts.
